Auka’s CEO wrote this piece for Forbes about how businesses can use mobile payments to a) help stop the spread of the virus and germs; and b) increase their ability to sell and take payments from a distance.

Read it here:

Cards are germy, cash is worse. Can we flatten the COVID-19 curve using our phones?

We think that COVID-19 will likely hasten the global cashless movement. Just like CDs, videos and books (I know this last one will trigger some hot debate!) hard cash is a relic and will one day almost certainly be redundant. A cashless society is the future.

The piece for Forbes talks about how businesses can find alternative ways of staying relevant amongst all the current chaos and how the numbers of people using mobile payments are increasing during the pandemic. It also discusses the feasibility of making mobile payments the norm around the world.

The goal of Settle, the mobile payments platform from Auka, is to digitise cash and make it universally available. If you want to learn more about how you can play your part in pushing forward toward a cashless world, click here
